Misty Cherie ~ Glass Artist

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Hi there, my name is Misty Cherie. I made my first bead in 1997, but did not really delve into beadmaking on a semi-regular basis until late in 2004. I have a wide variety of styles of beads I like to make, however my favorites tend to be more organic.
I got started when I received a lampworking kit for Christmas one year, after expressing interest in making my own beads. This was after seeing some lampwork beads while doing bead shopping to create some jewelry. I truly love having the ability to create beads from simple rods of colored glass as well as having the infinite possibilities of bead creation.
Currently, I only work in soft glass (Moretti/Effetre, Vetrofrond, Lauscha) but hope to try my hand at hard glass (Borosilicate) at some point. All of my beads are made in my small home studio, and are offered up here and at online auction websites (eBay, Justbeads.com). All of my beads are made on my GTT Lynx torch and are all properly annealed in a digitally controlled kiln for lasting strength and durability. After they are annealed, I thoroughly clean them with a dremel.
